I offer a free phone or email consultation to all potential clients. My rate is $60/hour for most assignments. When you contact me with your needs, I will give you an estimate of how much time the assignment will take, and what it will cost.
Estimates are based on our initial conversation and are subject to change if the scope of the project changes. However, I am upfront about all fees as they are incurred and you will never be surprised with a charge we have not discussed.
A deposit of 50% of the projected cost of your project and a signed contract of terms will be due before any work is performed. For your convenience, I accept PayPal or personal check.
Additional costs may be incurred for travel, in-person meetings and research outside the normal scope of writing. “Rush” jobs may also incur additional fees. All deadlines that we agree upon upfront will be dependent on required materials, including deposit and contract, being delivered to me in a timely fashion.
In-person consultations require a deposit, based on the time and travel expenses required to attend the meeting. Once a contract is signed and the 50% deposit paid, the meeting deposit may be applied to the final payment amount.
I also offer retainer rates that can be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
